Venue Hire at Life Community Church

Catering from groups of 10 up to 45, we offer our Life Lounge and kitchen facilities for your meeting or event needs. With excellent transport links, private car park, good facilities and very competitive prices, Life Community Church is the perfect place for your next meeting, party or community event!

 

Our Venue: Life Lounge and Kitchen

The Life Lounge boasts a light and airy feel in a comfortable space for your meeting or event needs. Although compact, it can accommodate 30 people comfortably, or up to 45 depending on your type of event and how the space is managed. This room leads into our Kitchen, and a corridor leading to the rest room facilities. The dimensions of this space are 53m² (149 square feet) approximately. The charge for the Life Lounge and Kitchen is £18.00 per hour (community rate).

In completing our Booking Form you are consenting to our BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS (see below) and to Life Community Church storing your information for the event. We will only use these details to contact you directly as part of your participation with the church. Your details will be kept secure in accordance with our Privacy Policy found at www.life-cc.org/privacy-policy.  You can opt-out of any communications at any time by contacting us at info@life-cc.org.

By placing a booking, you agree to the following:

  1. All bookings are considered to be provisional once a booking confirmation/ payment details email has been issued. Bookings are considered confirmed upon receipt of the full payment AND the booking confirmation notice has been issued.
  2. The terms of the hire as set out in the booking confirmation notice can only be changed by agreement with LCC staff and requested changes must be confirmed in writing or by email.
  3. Rooms are booked for the period stated on the booking confirmation notice. Early arrival without prior arrangement or failure to vacate the room at the end of the hire period may incur a further hire charge.
  4. All Hirers must arrange their own insurances against claims for personal injury, loss or damage to property caused by their negligence and shall produce proof of its currency upon request.
  5. It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure that all their guests/clients are aware of the position of fire exits and that the hired room is cleared if the alarm sounds. The fire assembly point is the small car park opposite to the Centre.
  6. Hirers using the premises for certain activities (e.g. exercise classes) may be asked to provide proof of any relevant qualifications, licences and risk assessment before the booking is confirmed.
  7. Hirers using the premises to offer services to children or vulnerable people are expected to comply with legal requirements regarding DBS checks.
  8. The Board of Trustees endeavours to make available all facilities in a safe condition. It is the hirer's responsibility to inspect and be satisfied as to the safety and suitability of the facilities provided before hire commences.
  9. PAYMENT: Unless agreed differently, the full balance will be required at least 7 days before the event. The booking is only considered confirmed once payment has been received AND the booking confirmation notice has been issued.
  10. CANCELLATIONS: Any cancellation must be notified in writing (Including email). Cancellations made within 7 days of a booked event will be subject to a late cancellation fee of up to 100% of the charge at Centre Manager's discretion.
  11. USE: We are a non-political, religious organisation. Rooms will be hired out for functions and events at Manager and LCC staff discretion. Any falsehood in booking pretences will be dealt with accordingly.
  12. Rooms will not be hired for loud parties or events with excessive noise. Parties which include music will be at the discretion of the manager. Anyone who falsely hires the room, will be subjected to their booking being cancelled with immediate effect, being asked to leave the premises and forfeiting any hiring fee.
  13. The hire of the rooms is solely at the discretion of the Centre Manager.
  14. GENERAL: SMOKING IS PROHIBITED in all areas of the building and its grounds.
  15. Alcohol cannot be sold on the premises. Neither is consumption of alcohol permitted anywhere within the building or its grounds.
  16. The Hirer shall, during the period of the hiring, be responsible for the supervision of the room used and the people attending. The Hirer shall be responsible for the room contents, their care, safety from damage and the behaviour of all persons using them.
  17. The Centre will accept no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal effects belonging to the Hirer or their delegates, neither to vehicles parked in the carpark. Users park at their own risk.
  18. Any person acting inappropriately towards any member of staff, hirer or user will be asked to leave the building.
  19. AMENDMENT OR CANCELLATION BY THE CENTRE: Should the Centre, for reasons beyond control, need to make any amendments to your booking, we reserve the right to offer an alternative choice of facilities.
  20. The Centre may cancel the booking if the booking might, in the opinion of the Centre, prejudice the reputation of the Centre or if the Hirer is more than 30 days in arrears of previous payments to the Centre.
  21. You will arrive promptly at agreed time to open up, and will be ready to leave/ lock up at agreed time (start and end times on booking form).
  22. We will provide all details concerning access and heating before your event by email.
  23. Please do not affix any decoration to the walls – please only use blu tac onto the wooden batons (located on the walls) or other surfaces.
  24. If you use any outdoor spaces, please ensure children do not play/ move the stones.
  25. At the end of the evening, please give the room a vacuum clean if needed (we will provide vacuum cleaners) and wipe all surfaces before you leave.
  26. Please ensure any black bin bags used are tied up and taken to the bins outside the church (by the red skip round the side of the building)

Once we have received your form, we will contact you about availability. If the booking is possible, then we will send you payment details, and confirm your event once payment has been received.
